POSITION SUMMARY
PARASOL is seeking a motivated, talented and hard-working Construction Manager to join our inspired team to oversee construction activities on Parasol commercial project sites.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
-
7 – 10 years of heavy commercial construction experience.
-
Demonstrated track record illustrating a commitment to promoting SAFETY as a principal value.
-
Experience with excavation, site work, foundation construction and steel installation required.
-
Solar electrical experience a plus.
-
OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid certs required.
-
Clean drivers license and driving record required
-
Equipment operating certification for man lifts and material handling equipment
-
Demonstrated track record of commitment to a safety culture
-
Software Proficiency: MS Office, MS Project
-
Authorization to work in the USA

RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Provide leadership on our project sites
-
Assure all personnel on site are following PARASOL's safety procedures
-
Assure compliance with our contracts and contract documents
-
Identification of problems, provide solutions and conflict resolution
-
Communicate with clients throughout entire process
-
Do so in a timely, respectful and professional manner
-
Assure projects are built per schedule, per specifications and on budget
-
Full Construction Administration
-
Ownership for the production, organization, and coordination of all trades on site
-
Keep all documents well organized in digital and in paper format
-
Coordinate with procurement
-
Assure all equipment and fabricated material is delivered on time

Lessons Learned Documents
-
Maintain throughout entire project, information includes:
-
Processes, designs and documents that require improvement and/or that are done well and why
-
Suggestions on how to improve and innovate
-
Project Follow Up
-
Presentation to PARASOL Team at end of project
-
Lessons learned, suggestion for improvements
-
Communicate with Director of Design, Operations Managers and Project Managers
-
Project status, schedule, conflicts and challenges etc..
-
Assume 75% travel to East Coast sites.

PARASOL is seeking a motivated, talented and hard-working Project Designer to join our team to manage the design of commercial solar canopy projects from schematic design through construction. The ideal candidate has a passion for innovative management and design solutions and takes pride in and ownership of resolving technical and logistic issues.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
-
A professional architectural degree or equivalent
-
3 – 5 years or more of commercial architecture or similar design/build experience
-
Experience supporting all aspects of design/build projects from proposal through construction
-
Demonstrated skills interfacing with engineering teams to implement product designs
-
Experience in creating and managing schedules, budgets and scope of work to completion
-
Experience reading proposals and participating in competitively bid contracts
-
Experience with project communication and documentation
-
Autocad, Revit, Office, Excel and Adobe/Bluebeam proficiency required
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Report to Design Director to understand work goals, standards, and design process
-
Interface with sales team as required to define project requirements
-
Interface with project management team as required to develop budgets and schedules.
-
Develop all project drawings and documents as required to support proposal, progress, IFP and IFP drawings submittals
-
Support leadership at the project level. Interact with clients and third party consultants
-
Support the development of product designs and detailing to improve quality and performance.

Coordinate with procurement teams to support accurate bidding and fabrication of canopy components
